Cheap Beauty: LA Girl Lip Paints

Sin

Wow. So I stumbled upon these beauties on my stroll through Futon Mall in downtown Brooklyn. As you know, that area  is home to a plethora of beauty supply stores. Of course I walked right in! The front of almost every cheap beauty supply store is dripping with overly perfumed, cheap makeup. Right up front, I found a row of L.A. Girl lip paints that were hard to pass up.

I purchased 4 of these lip paints for $2.99 each. How can you beat that price? And the pigment in these lip paints were outstanding. The red lip paint is so bright and blue based, it would look great on almost any skin tone.

The purple is a bit unwearable for those who aren't interested in daring looks. The purple lip paint is blue based so it highlights the lips of dark skinned women like myself. For lighter women it would appear much more pink.

The most wearable color is this lovely raspberry deep plum lip paint. It's such a great daytime color for dark skin! I love it. It also adds instant color and life to your eyes. It compliments neutral eyes very well.

The lip stain I liked the least was the gold-based, shimmery lip stain . It just reminded me of one of those cheap lip sticks that my mother used to wear to church every Sunday. It's kind of a nude but not at all because of the shimmer in it. I can't see myself wearing it anywhere. I could pair it with a brown lip liner to see if any magic happens.

I strongly recommend buying these products. A little goes a long way. They are very pigmented and totally worth it for $2.99!

ENJOY!
